Leona Wall is a postdoctoral researcher at the Digital and Cognitive Musicology Lab (DCML) at the EPFL, mainly responsible for conducting empirical research on music cognition. Leona is fascinated about the capabilities of the human brain in perceiving music and the complex fundamentals of this process. To better understand the underlying principles, she conceptualizes and conducts experiments in close collaboration with lab-based experts in music theory and computer science. Her psychological and biomedical expertise complements the interdisciplinary DCML team.
Leona joined the DCML in September 2018 after completing her doctoral thesis “Evaluation of a standardised, submaximal threadmill exercise test in healthy beagles and dogs with presymptomatic mitral valve regurgitation” in Hannover, Germany.
